Mavic EX729's are good (I use one on my DH bike) but, if you can find any, the old D321's are actually stronger.
Other than that, as above. Trailpimps have a reputation as being stupidly strong.
What were your old rims?

Mavic 729's or DT Swiss 6.1's, 729's are heavier and likely stronger.
Up the tyre size your running to, although wider rims do increase the volume abit, and lower the pressure so you can use that.

weight: lightish
riding style: moving onto Dh and freeride (not big northshore stuff though)
disc: yes
old rims: crappy bontrager ones!! came with the bike.
cost is a major consideration as i need the bike (and enough money to get it and build it in time for next june! at the latest)
How im building the rest of the bike:
Frame: Iron horse 7 point (probably)
Forks: 66 RC2X
Wheels:
hubs: hope
rims: well not decided yet!
Cranks: Evolve dh single ring
Chain device: E Thirteen SRS MTX - ISCG 05
Stem: thomson elite x4 31.8
etc etc...
cheers Saint mike because before this i was going to get 325's!!!

they're heavier than the 729's, and weaker i hope, if they're stronger, then i wouldn't like to try a 729!

729's are made better, better material and process, 29mm width compared to 25mm, so less odds on pinching.
But also expensive.

Mavic 521s are my favourite. Now called the 721.
I've been using one for DH (Fort William all summer) 4 years now, it's perfectly straight and no flatspots.
