just about to order some SPD shoes from CRC as no shop around here stocks SPD and just wondering if you just get the size of your foot and dont size up like you do with football boots....also i have slightly wider than average feet..do these come up slim? i will probably be going with a cheap pair of 661 experts...shoe size 42 generally...normally just wear general socks..
IME cycling stuff generally is on the small size. I normally wear size 43 shoes and both my shimano and my Nike cycling shoes are size 45. Not sure how 661 compare size wise but I'd guess they'll be similar???
Well worth trying some on if you can find somewhere. Otherwise expect to have to pay some postage costs sending them back and forth to get the comfortable ones.
I have learnt the hard way that some things - shoes especially - are best bought from a shop rather than mail order.
I have not tried 661 shows but be the possessor of a pair of "duck feet" - my girlfiends description - I find that Shimano, Pearl Izumi and Specialized are the most comfortable width wise.
mmmm its a tricky situation for me really, im going to norwich tmos so may have a hunt around there...by the time ive paid for return postage etc i would be able to get the next pari up or summit..cheers for your help dudes..
I've found the toe boxes on Pearl Izumi's uncomfortable. Spesh make some nice shoes, but you'd be foolish not to try them on first if you're not sure what you're buying
