I am looking to get a new bike, the ones I like, (or can afford!!) both Specialized, have Truvativ Stylo chainsets and cranks. Are they any good? Has anyone had any problems with them? My previous, and current bike has Shimano bits, should I stick with them?
from what i can gather, they're ok. what're you gonna be using the bike for? if it's abusing it, it might be worth considering something a little more tough, but for xc they appear to be fine. they use the external bearings, i've not had any problems with truvativ rings...
the only issue i had with the stylo is the bottom bracket bearing life got 6 months out of the first one... then again im 14 stone but the shimano LX on my HT is two years old and still smooth
Oh yeh forgot to mention the HT doenst get used much ;-P then again i have the Hone on my Full susser and they are nocking on 6 months old replaced the middle ring after about 2 months tho
the shocks wouldn't be putting me off an enduro, i'd be an avoiding an enduro if you like to keep your wheels on the ground, it'll likely be heavy, overbuilt and less efficient
