I use Xpedo Mountain Force Ti/Tis, 190g, sorted :-)

Not sure about riding on them unclipped though!

hmm, just cleaned aformentioned fatty bike and now weighs a still lardy 32.75lb. Bought a nice new Ti saddle for £45 thinking it should be half the weight of the old one (according to WTB). Weighed them (sad , yes) and there was a total difference of 80g! £45 for 80g..and yes I have learnt my lesson : /
Dude, give up on weight it does not matter in the slighest, you'll just adapt quickly to a lighter bike and it'll feel the same.

My bike was 32lb's, when we compared yours was slightly heavier so that makes sense.

Ofcourse I've added, DH Rims, 850gram tyres, but lighter bars and seat post to part compensate, so @34lbs at the moment.

Helps for lifting the bike over gates, but thats about it :)

Hit the toilet Dan and the combined weight of you and bike will be lower still !
Better still eat more, then your bike compared to your weight will get lower :)

Your bike/you weight is likely alot lower than Nick's, and is more important than bike weight.

My Bike / Me ratio is 14.7%.

i may take my bike up the lbs at some point...

just out of curiosity

Yeah that's my excuse, I'm short and (relatively) light, so I need a light bike to help me along a bit :-)

The ratio stuff is an interesting concept..I'm a 14.2% , nearly the same as you Dylan.
tbh I'm not too obsessed by weights and stuff, more that I felt if I could lose a few pounds from Ramascese (yes, I know), then it would be good. Got some Onza Hognesiums on order which are a mere 370g, that'll take half a pound off compared to cast-iron wellgo's currently fitted..
Anyway Dylan, I thought you were out on a ride today?! slacker ;-)

My Titus is 16.2%, my hardtail was 13.6%, I've never thought about that, it's quite interesting!

It is interesting, although I'm not sure it's a linear relationship. I'm not sure strength (and hence ability to haul bike about) is directly proportionate to weight. The obvious example of this being some 20st 40 yr solicitor (i love sweeping generalisations) with 4 bellies, buying a 4K bike and wondering why he still rides like a s@ck of $h!t. That particular scenario is one I've witnessed many a times in the peaks..

But yes, the general strength/bike weight concept is interesting indeed...

*strokes chin thoughtfully*
So Nikc, your FS is ratio wise heavier than mine.

Dan, supposed to of been in the peaks, but sinead wanted a training ride, meet at 12:00, they over slept met at 3:00pm did 1hour ish quick look up down up and doooowwwwnnn and that was it, sad really.

It's not perfect, but the max power you can put down is your body weight, any more and you just go up :)

Sinead was 8stone, 33lb bike so a ratio of 29%, with new bike 23% so way more than we lug around relatively she gets on just fine.
