Which is best to go for....the lx 11-32 cassette with chain for £32.95......or the xt 11-34 cassette with chain for £42.50?

Get Xt, the difference in quality is amazing. The Lx is a plain cassette, Xt is a superb piece of kit on a 4/5 arm carrier. I own both, xt is miles better

Personally, I'd go for a 12-27 Ultegra, £27 from CRC and get a Sachs PC-971 from
here
for £12.50.
If you need to bail to the granny ring the drop from 32 to 27 is hardly noticeable.
Average weight for XT is 264g and Ultegra is 210g.

on CRC the XT is £34.99.
Do you have to get chain and cassette at the same time?
