i am looking to buy a town and country bike , and i have been looking at a carrera subway 8 2006 version for £279, and it looks ideal for me . im interested to know what you guys think of it ? thanx.......... bigmal........
I work a la halfords, and to be honest its the best bike we sell (urgh apooolos:[ ). If the hub brakes and gears take your fancy then it's a good 'un. Its pretty light and a sound bet for the money. Brake set up is a bit tricky I might add if your not overly mechanically minded, but after that almost maintenance free.
I looked at the subway range about 18 months ago when I was after a hack/pub bike. I decided the subway 8 was more than I wanted to pay and neary bought the Subway 2.
With the discounts offered by Halfords I reckon they are a pretty good buy really.
