I took a heavy fall in the Peaks last August and landed on the palms of my hands. Left one still hurts now when I apply pressue to it, and before you say owt, YES I have been to the hospital and the doctor. Nothing broke but hurts like a b*****d. Got Race Face Good and Evil grips at the mo, but as I do Polaris type events, need some grips to take the shock a bit. Looked at Spesh BG's, any other Ideas? Most feel a bit thin to me...
I use the ergon grips and think they're excellent. They do a plain version without any bar end extensions on them, which is what I use. I find the Gent's version a bit too chunky though, but the Women's is spot on - try before you buy.
Bikemunky - you failed to mention your fall at Cannock on Sunday - straight flat road and bang! Down like a dead horse!! Maybe a bouncy sumo suit would prevent future injury?? (and some Ergon grips)! When's ur birthday mate?
You had to mention it didn't you? lol. Arse! Too much front brake, overcompensated for having no back brake didn't I? My Burfday will be txted to you shortly. Got my lever kit now so when you are free... You got any brake fluid, just in case?
Thanks to all you guys for your advice. Have tried different gloves, but they didn't help. The Ergons do look pretty good, as it is the palms of my hand that need the support. My fingers do go numb after a while, might be the fact that I use a chainsaw all day that isn't helping either...
