sintered are good for wet muddy conditions,but produce a bit of heat so not that good for downhill. organic are not to bad but wear quik as feck in the wet.
TBH I've got to the point that I always use sintered (Fibrax from CRC bulk buy - 4 pairs at a time) and only use organic pads for holidays in warm regions - Alps/Spain etc.
Organic/resin pads don't last long enough to be value for money and aside from heat build up there is no performance difference in my experience. I once went through a set of rear resin pads from new in 15 miles. Not even in particularly filthy conditions either.
