Any of you magazine flickers familiar with these forks? They don't seem to exist outside of Ebay land, and typing 'exotic forks' into Google brings up some very odd sites.
However, when hope were making small aftermarket kits and pace were making quirky parts with square tubes some people bought some of their stuff and then made a great name for themselves...
Looking at the range of product eXotic seem to have for sale on ebayit looks to me like they are off the shelf items labelled up, in the same way handlebars often are. Factories in the far east are starting to churn out 'no brand' carbon parts for OEM/third party use. Indeed - isn't that where On-One's carbon fork came from?
I made the mistake of buying some Pazazz carbon bars off ebay for my old Litspeed Roadie , they cracked big style. I researched pazazz before bidding and they make allsorts of quite high quality gear, alledgedly :-/
Oh aye, no intention of buying them, I was just curious - most of the forks on Ebay have steerers cut waaay too short for me, so I started clicking other stuff out of interest.
The On-One fork is, as far as I know, unique. It's made in Taiwan but to Brant's design. There are indeed plenty of generic carbon forks doing the rounds these days, though.
Much of On-Ones stuff is made in Taiwan but to Brants design. However, the point is someone out there told him they could make him a carbon fork, and has a factory tooled up to make carbon forks. They aren't going to stop at just supplying On-One's rather small market.
Your first post didn't make that clear, and suggested that On-One forks were rebadged generics. I'm just pointing out that that's not the case in this case.
