Hello, can anyone recommend a roof-rack-mounted tandem carrier for a car? I see that Pendle do them. I think I heard that there's an Italian one. Does anyone have any experience with these? Thanks, Nick

I have the Pendle one and it works fine. Very secure and easy to use.

The parents have the BTS. Its definitely better if you don't want to lift 20kgs above your head.

I've got a Pendle one too. The wheel cradles could do with being a bit bigger for MTB tyres (unless they've enlarged them since I bought it).

We transported our 'dale tandem for over 8 years by just bolting the channel sections from 2 cheapo bike carriers together to make an extra long bike carrier! It happily took us to and from the Peaks up the M1 and never let us down. We just used the one upright clamped onto the down tube just like on a solo bike, strapped the wheels down just like a solo, then just added a few extra straps to stop it rocking fwd and back. I've since made a new rack, just 2 box section uprights to strap the frame to (similar to Pendle), and the same channel section holding the wheels.
