I'm tempted to swap my ageing MX Comps for rigid RC31's, but at 15 stone I'm a little bothered by the 95.5kg limit (basically 15st!). What's the concensus? Oh and I'll be using 180mm mono minis. What are the alternatives?
Didn't know about the On-Ones - hanks. Still not totally certain about making the move back to rigid - I used to suffer with tennis elbow a lot in the rigid days but I'm getting increasingly fcuked off with fettling and spending £££ on kit that doesn't last. I've made the change to singlespeed on my now one and only mtb and the urge to simplify it further is proving hard to resist.
Hi, Why not try the Element Spar-Q forks, just as good as the pace offerings, light and strong and better value at £139, have both disc and v brake mounts, had mine for 6 monthes and had no probs, got my bike down to sub 22lb,Great
I have some Bontrager carbon Race X Lite Switchblades on the front of one of my bikes. I am about 90kg and was sort of put off the Pace forks by the weight limit. I did consider the On-One forks but I heard a few stories about disk/drop-out interference.
So far I have given the forks a bit of a hammering and am very impressed, they have enough flex to cope with roots and stuff, they only really seem to struggle on sharp edged rutts.
The ETA was knackered and they were leaking and generally buggered. I really liked them and bought some 07 MX Pros but there isn't a bloody post mount adapter available for my brakes so I went for the Maguras with IS mount.
