Any one out there still use bar ends ? i am thinking of getting some.

Nope! I fitted some old X-Lite Stubby bar ends to my 700c-wheeled commuter last year but removed them a few months later; only really any good IMO when you're spending all day on the bike. :)

hey rich does it matter what other people are using if they feel ok then use them
ive got some ergon grips with bar ends built in they are v good

I use them. Specialized jobbies, look tatty now but stop my GPS and puter getting scratched when I flip the bike over.

i use the cane creek ergo bar ends on my hack bike, and also when i go touring, and imo they are fantastic.

pricey, but fantastic.

Yeah I use bar ends for racing, wouldn't be without them!

I've got bar ends on my rockhopper, but don't put them on riser bars- it's illegal, and looks very silly. You have been warned.

As above. Who cares sop long as you like them. I use them as I like to be able to change positions and like XC says it allows me to flip the bike over and I have a stand that means my GPS is safe.

Bar ends? I love them!

I use them on a norco with a riser bar. Good for climbs as it allows me to put my weight further foward as well as hooking the back wheel in for traction. They also can take out some wankers wing mirror without me breaking my fingers plus a damn good place to hang my helmet.

I've got cheap ones on my risers, looks fine and who cares, makes sure they've got a curved in bit so they deflect of trees rather than grabbing. Like Mikes pic.

Will not ride without them, tried for abit hated it.

I think they've been replaced now Dylan. Wiggle do some 'Profile' bar ends.

Avoid two-piece bar ends...

This is what they've replaced them with Dylan. Not as nice IMO.
