hi i need sum advice on "V" brakes what work best with a 31.8mm front rim and a 38.9 rear rim oh and i ride trials any help will be much appreciated

Ride trials and want V brakes, what about Magura HS's? way more stopping power than V's for trials.

I'm using an Avid Arch rival on a 38mm rim. It's fine.

I'm using Avid Arch Rivals too! Brilliant stopping power (for a v) and much less hassle than Magura's  to set up/maintain. I also use these with the brakes, for a smoother, more powerful stopping action.
