Has anyone else brought one of those Geonaut GPS units that you strap to your wrist...I did on sunday and monday it went straight back.
I've been spoilt in the past with a Garmin edge 305, top tool for heart rate, speed, altitude, distance, where you've been, cadence etc etc so I wasn't expecting much from the geonaut for £70.
Its actually got some good features and uploads all the info to a PC, its rechargable, gives speed and distance and tells you where you've been if you marry it up with google earth.
What it fails on though is the read of speed...stationary whilst playing about with it in the car I was apparently doing 0.16 to 0.38 miles per hour. I wanded the unit from one side of the car to the other and covered 3687 miles, not bad eh, wonder how many millions of miles I could of done on a bike.
Basically the thing is not accurate enough, dont waste your money...it may have a sirf 3 sensor on it but it doesn't utilise it as well as other makes. Stick to basic speedo until you can afford something decent.
