i have the option to purchase a 2007 Scott genious MC30. has been used for 6 months and then left over winter. there looking for £1100 is that good value for this bike?
I am taking it for a test ride next week so will see how it compares to current ride. Any comments or things to look out for appreciated.
original price £2200. new model is not carbon fibre anymore and is obviously cheaper, but the new model that is carbon fibre is going to be about 2600....
Can you recommend any good 07 model full suspension to investigate. Main riding is forest (DALBY) single track, slightly technical and the odd moorland yomp.
Just getting back into riding again and boy have things moved on
I'd check it out thouroughly and find out what it's been used for. As it's a Carbon Fibre frame give it a good check for cracks, dings etc. Check how worn the running gear is (notchy chain ring), check the forks too. Make sure you get a full offroad ride on it too.
I'd say if you want Carbon and it's in very good condition it's not too bad depending on condition.
If frame material is not an issue then as the others say check out new bikes from last year.

you can pick up a brand new Prophet for £1100 as they are end of the line now, also they are perfect for Dalby.
