Have a friend who has done really well recently joining in our walking club and has impressed us all (a group of 8 lads who've been treking for years, she didn't slow us down THAT much!)

 She's been desperate to join us on our bikes as well, and so as a congratulations for her efforts we've all chipped in to buy her a bike. Need to get her kit as well, helmet, lights etc, so we're left with about £300 for her first steed.

 Looking in my local Leisurelakes, the Marin Pioneer Trail WMS '08 looks about the best bet. Do you have any feedback on this bike, or is there something better you can suggest? Always value the input of the Bikemagic masses!

 (we'll only be letting her join us on road rides in the evenings and trips to the Forest of Dean fireroads, so no off-roading for her!)
