Hi, my wife currently rides a cannondale comfort 400 but has now been out a few times in the woods with me and wants something a little better at handling the terrain, can anyone recommend a decent FS bike for my wife, around the 1000 quid mark (or less!!)
Just got my wife a front suspension bike but hunted and read alot of reviews on Full suspension rigs
my advice would be to buy cheaper £500 - £800 or just get last years models from a store - and then let her add some sweet upgrades suitable for her riding - let her feel in control of adding somee components etc so she feels in control of the bike as much as you!
Im a huge fan of Konas so my opinion is biastso have a look at...
Kona kikapus are great and pretty cheap for your buget!
Kona Coilers - awesome bike!
kona four lisa - ladys designed etc...
Cannondale Rush 6 2007 - only few left though at evans cycles at £800 (saving from £1200!)
Just make sure its the bike she wants and not the one you kinda really like too - just get the appropriate size and all will be good
I bet your wife has a mind of her own and would like to make her own choice
I bought a Specialized Myka FSR Expert in January - and I love it - but I did try various different makes/models before deciding - and sizes do vary not only between manufacturers but models too - I found the spesh safire is around 3 inches shorter than the Myka, so don't just go on the appropriate size.
