Nice work.

I can't believe how much most of you carry! That's mental! I suppose if you're oop North and you are 47 miles from the nearest house/road it's different, but I carry:

CO2 pump and 2 canisters

Multi tool with chain tool

Phone

and errr.... oh wait, that's it! No tube, as I'm on Stans, and can't be arsed with taking rim strips out, no tyre levers, it's easier to learn how to take tyres on/off!

On the road I take 2 tubes and a very small pump, do you not feel weighed down with all the crap you're carrying!?

No not really...

Most of it's not crap anyway;

I take:

Puncture repair kit x 2 (including tyre levers etc)

Tyre pump

Multi Tool

Hoodie rolled up inside my bag just in case

Lube

Drink

No first aid kit, not important to me.

iPod

Camera.

Weight for me is not an issue - the bike can weigh between 15-20kg, and it won't bother me one bit. The bag, around 3-4 maybe 5kg.

A local ride eg. anything less than 4 hours:

2xco2 cannister

1-2 x tubes

1x expandable tyre lever

mulittool with chain splitter

powerlink

These all live in a saddle bag, there every ride.

camelbak if its a long enough ride to need energy drink and food + pump + Spare base layer + hat

bandana (doubles as a bandage)

Bottle of water on the bike to drink and or wash out the scrapes.

If it all goes pete tong then assuming your already wearing a water/windproof the change into a dry base layer will stop you going hypothermic..

If I| don't need a camel back I have a large bum bag that will take a 500ml bottle plus food, hat etc
