My friend is looking to buy a new XC hardtail MTB.  He has a budget of about £350 (although this probably includes accessories he'll need)...  Can anyone recommend a good bike in this price range? Disc brakes would be preferable, as light as possible, and with quality parts.

 The best I've found was the GT Aggressor, GT Avalanche, and Specialized Hardrock Disc.

 Any help would be very much appreciated.
