I've always had a problem with a creak on the front of my 06 Enduro and I think I've eventually tracked it down to the headset

 I think the noise is coming from the top of the headset where the stem sits directly onto it, I can see some movement there when rocking backwards and forwards on the front brake. I'm thinking thios is caused by the 'O' ring in the top 'cap' of the headset allowing for some movement

 Is there a solution? It doesn't feel like it can be cranked down any more via the star nut.

 What headset would the bikemagic massive recommend for a long travel single crown ruffty tuffty fork? (Fox 36 RC2 Talas 150mm)
