i currently have a gusset jury rear hub and its awesome but the axle is only 180mm and i need at least 190. are there any hubs nocking about with that? need to be sealed bearing to. just to make it harder. can i replace the axle?
the main reason i am looking at this is the bolt dont grab the whole axle, about 3 mm each side but one sides bolt is awesome but the other sides keep rounding off. am i looking in the right direction?
The Commencal Absolut 1 has 135mm dropouts out back... So your problem is that the bolt on hub you're running at the moment doesn't have an axle that's long enough, right?
Problem I can see with trying to get a longer axle is that the Jury is built around a 12mm that's machined down to fit 10mm dropouts - you'll not find many like that really.
I'm not sure how much it helps you but I know Chris King do the HD axle kit with Fun Bolts to clamp it all down. I'm running one in the back of my Uzzi and it's bombproof.
As for others - Industry 9 are worth a look but I'm still confused about why your axle is seemingly too short. Can you post a picture of the wheel in the dropouts?
i shall post a picture, yeah the drop outs at horizontal and are 180mm not 135mm the bolt keep rounding off and i am not using too much force... the reason the axle is so long is because mech hanger and axle mounted brakes.
