Can anyone recommend some pedals?

I had 540's on my stolen bike and have 520's on my new one. From memory, half the weight seemed a bit of an exaggeration so here are the numbers from weight weenies :

540's     =    352g    @ about £35 online

520's      =   415g     @about £15 online

What does "a better fitting system" mean?

Another vote for Time's here - been running the last couple of pairs for absolutely years and not a problem.

They feel a lot less

Rather than needing a spanner, they use an allen bolt straight thru the axle.

Saves owning a pedal spanner It is a bit awkward, though.

Thank you all for your comments and especially to Tekk for bringing a smile to my cynical old face. After all that it turns out that you can indeed buy a body kit for the Frogs (SBR Sports and Bonthrones). It's not cheap at £35 and new cleats are also £35 but after three knee reconstructions (I had to have the left one done twice before you start Tekk!) I really get on with the float so I'm going to stick with them. I've had my current set for about 3 years and despite a 1.5-hour round trip commute 5 days a week and off-road rides most weekends, the bearings are still spinning happily, albeit with a grease injection once every couple of weeks or so. But thanks again for all your input.
