I'd like to use one head unit on two bikes (one road the other mb) in order to keep a track of my riding. Any recommendations anyone?

Cheers,

Mick

My specialized computer had dual bike settings.

I had a cateye a while ago, you could set two different profiles on it that you could switch between.

I had one profile for my roadbike and one for my mountain bike/commuter and it worked absolutely fine.

I'm afraid I can't remember the exact model number, but it was pretty basic, and years ago so I'm sure the newer ones will have the same feature.

the circumference of a 700x23c road bike tyre is so close to a 26x2.2" mountain bike tyre anyways

Thanks for the prompt responses folks.

@bhb - rofl, no a Bob Milnes ally, my bro's the one with fossil power on two wheels.

@ X commie & Eddie - Thanks I didn't realise this was available on fairly basic models. On checking the cateye website I see tha the Strada wireless has a trip 2 function but the blurb doesn't seem to make it clear that this is a profile for 2nd bike use.

The Cateye cordless 3 & 7 both had settings for 2 different bikes & most dealers can get the spare mount/sensor & magnet easy enough.

Evans usually have the whole lot listed on their website if your stuck for part no's etc.

Thanks Nobby Cateye seem to have a good range.

Specialized 'Sport' is good. Around £15 IIRC. Most of the computers these days will have to profiles but not all of them make it easy to get a 2nd fitting kit. Cateye are very good for getting spares from.
