Too true, working with carbon fibre is highly skilled and technical process, you get what you pay for. No doubt with the amount of testing and facilities that Giant have, you will be getting a quality, good value frame. Shame as I find Giant bikes never seem to fit me too well.
What about the Focus range of bikes? they're pretty cheap and seem to get good write ups.
I'm organising a bulk buy from one of the Taiwanese factories.
Check out:
It's claimed weight is 1250 grams.
After import charges, international and domestic UK shipping, each group member will get the above a frameset for approximately £330.
My pay off for the hassle is using the group buying power to hit the minimum order value of $10,000 – thus getting the opportunity to procure some shiny carbon bits direct at super keen prices.
They also have a 900-gram road bike frame, which is very sweet. The raw lacquer frameset price is $425, thus landed duty paid group price of around £315.
