A couple of months ago I bought some Prescription Cycling Glasses online from Optilabs, They arrived promptly which was grerat, they look great and they fit great, however there was a problem! The vision was distorted around the edges and made me quite nauseous, so I thought bugger what am I gonna do now, surely I can't send them back since it's online etc and I gave them the prescription etc etc. Anyway a few weeks passed and I kept putting off contacting them about the glasses and I went to my optician who said everything was fine with the glasses, but some folk might not be suited to wrap around style glasses. Anyway I contacted Optilabs and I spoke to Tony, who was quite happy to sort them out. I sent them off and 3 days later they were back with me!
I can't fault their service and the quality of the glasses is great! If you're after a pair of prescription bike glasses you can't go far wrong!
It's always been a bane of my existence that my prescription +11(myopic) won't allow me to have Oakleys...my glasses have to be pretty small framed with Zeiss glass.
Daily disposables are my only solution until Oakley decide to make sensible sized model
(thats not for riding in just for day wear...i'd hate to smash up a pair of costly glasses riding!)
The Canyon models I have are pretty sturdy lots of grippy rubber bits and they stay in place well. If you can stand it you can use a croakie(s) to make sure they don't leave your person at any point.
Which disposables do you use? I'm currently on Acuvue Oasys which are fortnightly. Not cheap (£26) but can I can wear them for 18 hours with no discomfort and they have been great for biking. I used to use hard lenses and getting even a tiny bit of grit in your eye was agony but not with soft lenses. I can't use contact lenses in the rain though because it really does make my eyes close to much so I can't go fast ><.
I have read that the Scorch frame had a flatter lense and is therefore better for folk who can't use wraps so well.
