I ride a Giant XTC3, with Manitou Axel Comp forks.
I'm starting to ride more singletrack stuff, and want to do more in the near future.
As I weigh around 10st, I was thinking of getting the softer spring for my current forks, but suspect I'd do better to put the money towards a new set.
Can't really afford more than 180 quid at the most, at this price level am I better off just stinking with what I have until I break them!?
Any thoughts on forks to look at or alternatively to avoid?
Toras are the better forks, the marz's will be the plushest if not quite as stiff and controlled as the RS's. Either are just as suited to a light rider, though if you are really light, as in 9.5 stone or less the flex and control of the marz's will be much less of an issue.
RS Toras - 302 u-turns heavyish but stiff and feel relatively plush with 85-135mm travel , zocchis are a good alternative but not so adjustable for the £..
