Is it by Shimano??

I had the same problem with my Shimano job. After the fourth ride the same problem. I pulled a high wheelie on the middle ring and it bent like Dale Winton.

Well, probably not, given that its a truvativ crankset.
ive got the truvativ 5d single ring system. square taper cranks are weak and round off. the 42t four arm ring is still straight. the metal trouser guard is really good. all seperate. if youve got a four arm crank or spider for 3pc i recommend buying this and losing the cranks. im big and heavy and been jumping lots and am astonished by the rings strength for the money (good guard too)

I know loads of people who bought Specialised's P3 bike and ended up having real problems with their Truvativ cranks. They seem to be proper soft, and either bend or round out. All these guys are now running Shimano cranks or 3 piece cromoly cranks.
do what i did, i rounded of a set of Middleburns in 3 weeks ( possibly dodgy) and 2 sets of Shimano LX square tapers in 2 months back in 1999,

i now use On-One reetards with a 36t 10mm thick Profile Blackjack chainring, with a super fat KMC chain, aint gonna break that in a hurry

I've got some Truvativ Firex's & the middle ring bent very quickly for no good reason. Replaced it with a Shimano one & no probs. The cranks themselves are fine though.

Yeah it was the middle ring that bent with mine! absolute Cack! It wasnt as if i even put much power in! I was just preparing to go up a hill when chainsuck city! reason?
Middle ring had folded up like an origami exercise and trapped the chain! Odd really I bent the ring out the way with a big rock and didnt miss it much, did another thirty miles!
