Got some Magura Phaon forks but not sure how to get the best out of them

I understand the preload setup, what I am not sure about is the adjustments for compression damping and rebound damping, how do i set them up properly?

still not got to grips with this

I was hanging on for dear life today coming down a rocky section at speed

I am pretty sure I have set the pre-load ok, it must be the compression and rebound that aren't right

how do you guys go about getting the right settings for your forks?

would they be any better with a lighter grade of oil?

Fork tuning for beginners.

More specifically, it depends on what exactly is wrong - hanging on for dear life could be the result of almost anything. Is the fork too bouncy? Bottoming out too much? Not moving enough?

How old are they? They take a lot of running in.

may need some lighter springs then.

I have a set of Ronin, basically the air version and they are great!
