Looked at the sunline, I have actualy bought a carbon jobbie but its going on my road bike

So still  deciding on a XC Stem will probably end up with a Hope.

It looks like a Thomson without the finishing IMO Nick.
They look more like Ritchey IMO, they're a fair bit skinnier than Thomson, and not as heavily machined around the clamp. It's a shame there's no decent photos online!

Point One Racing.

It's the only stem other than Thomson I'd ever consider fitting. If you want to borrow it after me to see what it's like let me know

I needed a new stem, and just took delivery of a 100mm Thomson (above), now fitted on the bike. I have to say I'm a bit wary of the way it clamps on to the steerer - has anyone had problems with one creaking, coming loose...?
