For a second i thought you were blowing The Mans Trumpet

I have in front of me 1 x SLX chainset, 1 x M770 XT left arm and 1 x M582 LX left arm and they all look to be interchangable.  The axle diameter is the same and the curve is the same so the pedal sits in the same place with them all.

LX = approx 35 quid

XT = approx 50 quid

SLX = approx 45 quid when it becomes available although there are no dates at present.

Get an LX one then, it doesn't matter that they don't match as nobody can see both sides at the same time

Whats an Acera run at? Stronger, lighter, cheaper etc.

Acera is not HT2, it is square taper or Octalink so although you could probably make it fit it would involve a lot of large tools.

I know a large tool that swears by Acera.
