hiya all would you class a diamondback m-05 as a good first bike and if any would you make any upgrades

It's in that kind of "doesn't really stand out" category. What's your budget?

I read an article on upgrading a GT Avalanche and it's main thrust was that the wheels are the most cost effective upgrade. Prices have gone crazy lately but at the time of the article I think they put on a pair of mavic crossrides for about £120 and then sold the original wheels on Ebay. Problem is that buying bits is more expensive than getting a complete package so if you got a pair of Rebas and a couple of other decent bits of kit then you've probably spent more than your whole bike.

Anyway....Wheels is the answer!!!

evening all just an update done a few trails mainly cannock follow the dog and decided time to upgrade was given a budget by my better half and managed to get a giant yukon fx3 2008 for the allowed money which i hope will be here in the morning so sort of been bitten by the bug

Iam looking to bid on a 2003 tifosi zonal road bike, i have not ridden a road bike in 15 years. I dont now much about this make of bike and wonderd if this was a good choice
