Yeah it is, in effect, just two batteries in one package. So double the run time, but also double the charge time. (the hope ones gave a run time of 1hour 45 on full power in reality so you'd get at least 3hrs 30min out of a double pack).
Same here Darren! Mind you it was generally fun going via back roads and alleyways instead of cycling Canal Road & Wakefield Rd. Without the need to get to work on time I used the off road bits where possible.
Anyone else for batteries or light upgrades before I do the ordering?
Batteries:
I can do Hope LED and HID batteries (the HID ones are slightly different but I can sort that as well!)
LED battery packs can be:
Single (7.4v 2400mAh) £25 (optional fuel guage at +£4)
Double (7.4v 4800mAh) £43
Triple (7.4v 7200mAh) £63
(note the increased capacity due to me finding a better cell suplier). I can't do fuel guages on doubles or triples due to the way they have to be configured.
HID battery packs are:
14.8v 2400mAh £46
optional fuel guage on the battery at +£4
These are all including the standard push on connector I haven't had chance to work out the 3 pin connector (most common on the HID).
All the above come shrink wrapped in Red (although I can do a choice of colours if needed - but why would you?) or clear if you order a fuel guage (otherwise you can't see the thing!)
They are not in the little neoprene bags - although I'm in the process of making a prototype of these for the larger battery to see if it works. In a few weeks I should have those as an optional extra.
Hope LED Light Upgrade:
The light upgrade includes: 2 new Seoul LEDs, Lenses and a new circuit board.
The upgrade:
allows you to run any battery from 7.4v to 25v (so old Lumi ones as well!)
extends run time over the old hope system
increases the brightness from 300 lumens of light (when new) to 480 lumens.
will last longer as they aren't over-powered to get brighter lights
optional indicator LED to warn of low battery.
Customisable 5 levels of light - (if you only want high and low I can do that).
Cost: £50.00
Paulc and Mac Attack have their orders in - anyone else?
I need to know asap so I can order the parts all together and save the postage (and therefore keep the cost down for you guys)
Might take you up on that - I've got some neoprene dive tank covers on their way (same idea - cheapest large neoprene thing I could find to chop up on ebay!
I was sort of interested, but I'm trying to convince myself I don't actually need any more batteries,I have two packs already for the leds, plus 1 for the HID.
