Hi, I'm selling a silver D521, on a y2k LX rear hub.

Some one has asked if it is possible to run a 7 speed cassette on this hub, as it can run both 8&9 speed cassettes.

Does anybody know??

Yes, they'll just need to get the correct width spacer from a bike shop and pop it onto the freeehub before the cassette goes on. When I got one it was about £3 which is probably a terrible rip off for a tiny ring of metal, but it does the job.

you can put a sram 9spd cassette onto a shimano 9spd freehub body no worries.
