Come to think of it, Andrew, it's been ages since you rang to try and tempt me with one of your motors. Really need to replace the old Subaru, but far too skint at present.
Don't think I can make a ride tomorrow evening. We must be getting pretty close to night riding time by now - it's been such a crap summer I actually can't wait to get the lights out.
How's the new bike going? Need to organise a big group ride sometime soon - it's been ages since we've all met up. Not that the weather has been good enough to make it worthwhile
Your right about the weather an organised rides, I have found it easier to just head out the door when the rain stops rather than keep cancelling stuff because of atrocious weather. It means I have been getting out a couple of times a week for hours here and there.
I did manage to ride half of Whinlatter with Gilly on Monday night, we cut it short due to lack of daylight and no lights but the new climb that runs along side the fireroad is now open and is very interesting/entertaining, it certainly takes your mind off going uphill.
New bike is awesome Andy, I just love riding it, I think it suits me down to the ground.
How are you guys getting on, hows the new little Ecc settling in?
I'll second that new section it makes the whole route so much better. I did it on my way home tonight and I can say that I retract all my comments following my first ride round. RB told me that it grows on you and he's right it does.
As for group rides looks like Shim and I are doing Grizedale on Saturday if anyone fancies it. I haven't planned the route yet more just a make it up as we go kind of day I think.
