Too thin. He's losing weight. Slowly, but he's getting thinner and thinner. He's fine in himself - perfectly happy, but he's just getting thinner all the time. I can feel his backbone when I stroke him

 That happened to my old cat many, many years ago, if he's eating normally could be the thyroid.
