I doubt you will find someone who rides both but for what its worth I have been riding an LT for about 20 months now and still absolutely love it. (its not maintenance free mind)
When I bought the LT it was between that and the 5 spot I went for the Blur as I thought it climbed better both where great going down.
I would say the only way to truly find out is demo them both.
Its worth checking out the forums on www.mtbreview.com. I was reading a comparison of the LT and 5.5 large size frame weights the other day and it makes for interesting reading (5.5 large frame is really heavy). From what I can tell Intense are a bit optimistic with their weight claims.
Magazine article recently, cant rem which, rated the BLur LT just above the Intense. Something not quite as active in the Intenses version of VPP, not that you would notice really. I've got a Blur LT, had it since March last year and I really like it. Most people like there own bikes though....really helpfull arnt I ;-)
O, my bearings fine, ride peaks / wharncliffe twice a week for one year and all is good. Only think worn was FOX bushing.
Yip, totally agree with SimonM Blur LT all the way - i've had mine for six months and i love it - other bikes don't get a look in... A solid bike that can handle pretty much anything you chuck at it - ok, it's not light mines approx 29.5lbs (medium ano with AM build) but it weight belies it speed.
