Evening y'all, quick question. I'm sure I've seen a skewer type thing that you put in place to protect your stays from getting compressed when the wheels are removed, has anyone seen these online for sale, or know anything about them, whether they work, etc.?
Before leaving for a summer in Sydney I'd like to arrange a few beers and a curry on Friday 12 Sept to say a goodbye to y'all rednecks, keep the date free and I will confirm soon. Let me know if this is a good, or particularly bad day for you? Wives and better halves welcome as always, the more the merrier.
sorry Mik, don't know about those skewer things, I didn't use one when i stuck my Giant in a cardbox box and flew it home from the golld ol U S of A and it was fine though.
Who's around for riding this weekend?
have you all heard the good news about Dave's car? It's now my car! Anyone need a taxi ride?
if you guys are riding sunday morning, will it be ok if i tag along ? where might you be riding and what sort of distance ??, anything up to 25 miles ish is ok with me, and the earlier the better.
morning Ally, Sunday will be 9.30 at the arts centre in Bingley, generally around 15mile rides depending on how many brownie points I have accrued!(I usually have to be home around 12.30 ish!)
Probably work our way up onto harden moor and grind our way round the flappit and back down towards bingley
I've just got my trusty steed back from All Terrain, and after some extra brake fettling all seems to working great - almost like new! I'm going over the other side of the Pennines this weekend to Mik's, try some Lancashire hills for a change. Sorry Ally, unlikely to meet you this weekend, another time though.
We haven't planned a Sunday route yet but if anyone wants to join us over the other side drop me a text. If not then have a good ride, however wet it may be! Just thinking, it was Manchester that wore out every moving part on my bike last time grrr.
Cheers Tom for sorting out Grizzlydale, let me have your bank details or I'll give you cash next time I see you.
