Hi everyone! new to this site and Mtb.

was hoping for some advice to sort my painful problem out!

used to road riding but have in the last six months been bombing on my Kona Blast deluxe around the trails of Thetford forest (red, black routes)

i've found that when i 've finished riding the base of my coccyx is quite painful and can last for days

i've had had my bike set up properly, wear padded shorts, have the original saddle which compared to my race saddle feels soft.

am even thinking of changing to a full sussie whether this would make any difference.

any ideas welcome

soft saddles don't always = comfortable...

is there a mtb equivalent to you're road saddle?

it's a def no  to the cyst (in the medical profession)

will have to get it checked. had a car accident late last year where i did hurt my back!

will also have to check out some saddles

friends have suggested changing to a spring loaded seat post

going to check out some fs's today to see how they feel!!
