Went to North Lincolnshire yesterday, and spent all day throwing money into the sea. Sat nice and comfy like with shoes and socks off. Nice and sunny and forgot sun tan stuff.
Get yourself some aloe vera gel. That stuff works wonders on burns. Cools and prevents that nasty peeling (which you're going to get, oh yes. You will peel).
Also try to drink more water while you're still burnt. You might notice swelling in the joints in the next couple of days. Not much you can do about that aside from take it easy and take anti inflammatory stuff.
Best bet is to rough it up with some sand paper, then put a few drops of you're strongest aftershave on. It may sting for a bit, but it'll do the job..

Could you be a bit more specific, is there a particular brand or grade of sandpaper I should be using ?
I use halfords branded stuff, try some of that. Start of with the medium course, then use the roughest stuff. Dont use the wet 'n' dry though. And try that shite aftershave you can get from avon..
