you could get a quando and walk away with even more change...
And walk home when the freehub keeps shitting itself and have the bearings go grindy after the first couple of muddy cycles - Quando stuff is excellent value for money, but not actually good enough to survive mileage off road for a decent length of time. For £100 you should be able to get a hub you can fit and forget about for at least the next 3 years...
The brand would have nothing to do with stopping me from tinkering I'm afraid. I like to service stuff. You know, not every 5 minutes but I enjoy working on my bikes
And no, I'm not a Time fan. Crank Bros on all my bikes.
Ordered an XT M756 rear hub for £30. That'll do for now until I need new wheels. Then I'll get some quality hubs like Hope or DT Swiss. I did like the sound of the Nuke Proof and Superstar though and they're a fair bit cheaper.
If I ever come accross some Quando hubs I'll be sure to send 'em on to the Demon!
