No experience of either you mention but I do use fenix torches
a Fenix P3D premium Q5
.....uses CR123a batteries and it'll give approx 2 hours at 215 lumens on a set in turbo mode however if you just run it in high you'll get 3 + hours. If you run two there as brigth as any lighting system I've seen and certainly a more than a match for the hope you mention.
You can bulk buy CR123a batteries to keep costs down or recharchable RCR123 and a charger..loads on ebay.
P7 baby Thats the baby if you want Bar mounted, but 75min run time so you'll need @16batterys costing @£44. Think 600lumens not 900!!
Better run time!! 230Lumen, 2 1/2 hour run time on a 18650 rechargeable, still going to need 8 of them @£22 though, £10 for that torch, £5 for the charger, £5.50 for 2 x 18650's. It'll out perform the Fenix at 1/4 the price,
@5hour charge for 2 batterys so 4 batterys + charging station could keep you running in theory for ever.
17hours of night riding = NUTS, P7 on your bars, P7 on your helmet and that other torch on your helmet RBA then it'd be like it's day light, the batterys required to do this would be costly though even with charging.
