Starbucks do some nice stainless stell 12oz flasks, with cups. They are a little thin for my bottle cage so I pack mine. You could easily make fit.Coffee stays hot for hours and I think around £12.00.Had mine for 3 years and its still brilliant.
This reminds me of a story i would like to tell you Karlos (Are you sitting comfortably)
We set off on a mega cold, wet & windy ride up to Cross Fell. There was about 6 of us and we all took provisions as it was gonna be long and cold. After about 4hrs of riding we stopped somewhere for shelter and food. After 10mins Dave pulled out the biggest thermos flask i have ever seen and said he had carried it all the way around for us to warm us up. What a grand fella
I was offering cake to everyone and little did i know that dave had lined up 6 cups of coffee for us all to drink on the ground. I stepped back and kicked every single one of em into the road. I kept a low profile for the rest of the ride
on a long winters ride, a while ago, the last 5 miles were proving a little difficult. blowing a gale, freezing and that stingy rain on yer face. i knew id saved one last cup of brew. so for the sake of my own moral i sheltered behind a dry stone wall and carefully poured out the precious liquid, took may last flapjack out of my pack... turned around and knocked the fecking cup over! i was gutted, and nearly lost the will to carry on breathing..
Trouble with those Sigg thermos bottles is that the bottle holders relly a little on the plastic bottles to give a little to stop them falling out of the holder. I lost my Sigg bottle after a week of use on a MTB ride.
