This is most unusual.......a Brit excelling in a world sport! He's clearly English then!

Ed Clancy, Chris Boardman, Chris Hoy,,and not forgetting, Nick Evans.

It was a joke SB.........although what is harder to win? A gold medal for cycling in the Olympics , or a stage of the Tour? Sir Chris Hoy. so why not Sir Mark Cavendish?????

He,s from the isle of man,so not british as far as i know. Why do the tv muppets always tell you whose won before i watch it on itv4,like BBC who put it up on the scrolling news on the news channel, then anounced it and showed his win.

I agree......it rather spoilt the race for me too. Still, you have to marvel at the way they come in the last few miles and work Cav into position. Apparantley he won yesterdays leg by 6 lengths, but from the footgae it looked like about 3 ft! I haven't seen any side on views for either finish yet..........makes it difficult to see if he is moving away or getting caught!

Eh!..... So you didn't see it on TV? The overhead footage that they showed at least 3 times showed him merrily romping away from Tyler Farrar

They seem to show it from every conceivable angle. Just watching it now, I'll see how many views we get.
