re the single pivot thing -  tbh I am basing my opinion on only a handful of other single-pivoters that I've ridden...not exactly a conclusive test 

Foes are reliable, stiff frames with shocks that just get on with the job. If you don't want that then look elsewhere.

Given the current $:£ exchange rate they are very(probably too) expensive for what they are, but never write off single pivot designs, after all the DW link of VPP are just doors with two hinges and a damper.
