First of all my heart goes out to the family. I have driven 44T artics for a living and am also a SAFED instructor. The nearside on an artic is covered by 3 mirrors to help cut down on blind spots ( 2 rearward facing and 1 kerb mirror ) but you still cant see 100%. Even a slight turn and you create a blindspot. A driver would know if someone was banging on the cab or hanging off his wipers. As for driving over a body and bike it would be barely noticeble as 44t will flatten most things. I cannot stand up for the driver in this case.
