I've seemingly bent the lower lever on my shifters...It fouls the upper when shifting. it pops back quick enough but it's a bit of an ache

My initial thought was just to bend it back but then thought...hmm what if I just rip the entire thing off. Should I :

1.Dismantle the entire lot and then bend it hope I can put it all back together

2.Just bend it and hope for the best

3.Get a file and have off the mm or so that fouls?

I can easily remove the lever...It's just when I did that to my old lx one I really couldn't remember which order things went back in :/

It's hardly a mm to be honest I might just file the plastic upper one so it doesn't foul...it doesn't seem to affect shifting
