Should be a case of download torrent file from web , open file with torrent client i.e azeurus or other and then the app will start downloading file you're after to your specified download location on pc / mac...
Good look finding Mac stuff on Torrents, I just checked my usual sites for that and came up blank, dunno if there are Mac Torrent specific torrent sites around.
dude...I've lost 22pages of InDesign work that simply won't open, I need this £200 extension to turn it intoquark save it and open it again in InDesign or I'm redoing all the work
only problem (apart from legality ) of torrent downloading is you don't know if the .exe file has been modified to infect your entire system or if the torrent has another harmful file piggy-backed onto it. Any keygen's or cracks supplied are usually the culprit.
4) when you find the torrent file instead of saving it just open it and Vuze will launch and schedule the download
5) how long it takes will depend on how many people are seeding (allowing it to be downloaded from them) it and how fast theirs and your connections are
Nope same machine same IDCS3 one single file that is utter shitted up...
Adobe haven't a clue why, it's just gone icky....found the file a colleague gave it me but it needs an activation code and when I googled that about 20 popunders tried to come up and I got a nice treat to some porn at work.
I give up and will have to work from scratch off the proofs all over again...bottle of wine and working late at home tonight it is
sorry mate, no luck. searched all the places i can think of, most of them dead ends, need membership or you have to pay to get the torrent and there's no guarantee you'd get what you want even if you did pay. for such a popular util it's one of the first i've never got hold of.
Yeah now worries, Adobe were really good in the end i've FTPed the file and they're going to forensic it for me. If the same happens to any more files i'll be shafted good and true.
Fact is tonight I'm working late to try and correct it.
Scary thing is that a back up the file from 3 weeks ago failed to load also :/ it's got everyone stumped
Nope - I have the Quark to InDesign converter... but not the other way around?!? I didnt actually know they did one for that direction. I'll have a look though, cos it's probably quite useful.
It's probably not working because you have too old a version of Quark/InDesign....
let me know version numebrs.. and maybe i can get it converted for you?!?!
We have a freeware Q to ID...it's such an ass they fell out
CS3 and Quark 7 too old lol :-0 To be honest I spent the afternoon with an awesome chap from Adobe we tried the works to no avail...fact is the file simply just fucked itself up. Leaving me with the task of doing it all over again which isn't pretty...thankfully I'd packaged and pre-flighted the lot so at least I don't need to go trawling for links and fonts.
If your mate wants the file I found a copy but I don't have a code.
Sure he'll survive without it, he's got BB board access so every file you'd ever want available to him anyway.
Bugger, I've got a manager for 1 of my systems that got corrupted nearly a year back, it was running so all fine, they recently moved the server and it's killed it so got to rewrite that from scratch I think so I can feel your pain
It's just something very crazy, I think there's a HD fault waiting to happen on a 6month old Mac Pro not mine though so I don't really mind I just don't like losing an entire day of work trying fix it plus another 2 maybe 3 redoing the artwork when it could have gone to press monday ARRGH is all I can say.
