With regards to District 9.  I do believe that Gabe Newell might like his I.P. back

I saw the last M. Night Shalyman film on DVD for some reason a while back... It was the biggest pile of shite I'd seen in a long time.

Enjoyed District 9, But saw Cranked 2, so so bad it was quite good.

The directors commentary, where they said "We didn't want to make the film but they offered us lots of money, so we just threw some ideas together. The backers can't have read the scrpt or they wouldn't have let us make it!", said it all!

M. Night Shalyman

He just took off where scooby do finished off, or thinly vieled plot twists which are so transparent it's embarrassing.

Oh my god Bruce Willis was dead = it was old man strithers all along

Well Unbreakable was good.

I didn't watch it on purpose, my other half had borrowed the DVD and suggest we watch it. To be honest it was so awful you watched it with a general disbelief that it had been actually made.

Unbreakable wasn't a 'great' film and it followed shamilyans typical thing...

Sixth Sense: Oh my God Bruce willis was a dead person all along

The Village: Oh my God they were in the present day all along

Unbreakable: Oh my God samuel L Jackson was the bad guy all along

Signs: Oh my God aliens exist but they have an achilles heel all along (as outlined by HG Wells)

I never said it was great but in the context of it being his first film it appeared to show him as a promising director. It's just that he has since progressively disapeared up his own arse hole.

Unbreakable wasn't his first! It came out a couple of years after Sixth Sense...don't forget he also directed that film about the skateboarding mouse :/

Only if your GF didn't fanny around so that you missed the first 8 minutes of it.  Had to get it on DVD to see the beginning.

Oh alright, BHB, you win (can't argue movies with you anyway), it was after Sixth Sense. Anyway I believ it to be his career high point...

What skateboarding mouse...? That sounds truly horrendous.

The plot was thin , the acting wooden but, over all, I can't see much to complain about.

Second QOS - worse Bond film ever. Pretty much like a inverse Benny Hill sketch on speed. In a manner of speaking.
