Hi Guys,

I've been reading for a while, not really posted, but now I'd need help to price my bike up for sale.

It's a 2007 Specialized Stupmjumper FSR Comp with the normal amount of scratches on the frame. I've got all the papers, fork and shock has been serviced this year. Crankset is upgraded to XT. I'd throw in 2 pairs of disc pad. How much do you think I could get for it?

I will probably wait with the selling until January as there are lots of sale bikes in the shops now and I can start a Ride to Work scheme in Jan for a new bike.

Thanks!

Norbert

It worth more than that! It's genuine, not stolen bike, I've used it for almost 3 years.

As I said,I'll try to sell it in January, but don't know how much I will be able to ask for it. I don't want to sit and wait for weeks because of high price, but also don;t want to give it away as a bargain.

That sounds a bit more reasonable Hobo, thanks!

The Ebay one is 7 years old with v-brakes, Manitou shock. But thanks Sadbloke, didn't think about looking around on Ebay!

You are probably better stripping it, and then sell off the bits you don't need/want; once you've bought your new bike.

I mean, a spare pair of wheels is always handy?

That eBay one is a 1999 Stumpy, he may have only had it 7 years, but it's a lot older!

I'd say that around £600 is reasonable.

Thanks a lot, I shall see a bit closer to the time, might take the advice on stripping and leaving spares.

I had an 07 elite that was going for 700 on fleabay just before it was nicked by one of the 'viewers'. Would have made 800. It DID have the AFR brain retrofitted though (from the pro).
