From a quick Google search it appears to be an E-type front mech.

hi mr bump, i have a spesh enduro & that takes an E-type.  the mounting fits around the bottom bracket, so i cant see how it would fit the downtube of the scale?

No bikes I know of have a mech on the down tube.  There are 4 types of front mech.  E-type mounts on the bottom bracket.  Direct fit goes on the seat tube without a band.  Then there are two band on types, top swing or conventional.  What year Scott do you have?
